Our Story
BlindnessTest.com launched in February 2023 with free online color vision screening tools. The site was developed so anyone with a screen and a few minutes can begin learning about their color vision, without appointments, downloads, or sign-up barriers.
Since then, we have expanded to six screening tools, multilingual support, and a Color Blind Test browser extension while continuing to refine each module for accuracy and clarity on modern displays.

Who operates this site
Accurate digital color vision screening is as much a software and display-calibration challenge as a clinical one. Medical institutions understand vision pathology, but reliable on-screen tests require expertise in cross-browser rendering, consistent sRGB color distribution, and calibrated presentation across modern LCD, OLED, and mobile displays.
BlindnessTest.com was built by CyberRudra Technologies, based in Wardha, Maharashtra, India, to solve that digital precision problem. The CyberRudra team designed and developed every screening module in-house, focusing on cross-browser compatibility and recognized digital color frameworks for on-screen plates and arrangements.

Each adapts an established clinical methodology into a digital format. Online screenings cannot replace an in-person exam by a licensed eye care professional. Digital adaptation of pseudoisochromatic plate screening used in clinics and occupational health checks. Identifies red-green confusion patterns through figures embedded in colored-dot layouts, including protanopia and deuteranopia.
Measures hue discrimination by asking you to arrange color samples in the correct order. Higher total error can reveal milder losses that quick plate tests may not pick up on their own.
Includes Red-Green and Tritan matching modes based on clinical anomaloscope principles. Useful when you want axis-specific feedback on red-green or blue-yellow confusion beyond a single combined result.
Presents chromatic stimuli against a controlled background to estimate discrimination thresholds along defined axes. Suited to structured screening when you need more detail than a pass-or-fail plate result.
Simulates colored signal lights used in aviation, maritime, and railway screening contexts. Assesses whether red, green, and yellow lights are identified correctly in brief timed presentations in a normally lit room (clinical FALANT uses white).
